Can't change login email ps4

Help! Sony won't allow me to change the login email for my PlayStation 4, when I try to change it I'm being told it isn't allowed because the address is already associated with an account?! Why is this an issue?? Someone help please ! 🙏🙏

Did you use the new email address for a second account or a child account?

That's what it's saying it is.
