m5 microphone not working

HI i got a sony xperia M5, last month sometimes my microphone didnt work all of the sudden. i have the phone for over a year and it always worked fine. and now 2 weeks later it just never works. with calls only when i put it on speakers the microphone is working. with apps it never works anymore. please help. i have seen that some guys say something in settings but i dont have that setting too put on or off.
