I’ve had my Sony Xperia L for quite some time now and it has worked perfectly for the last few years,
However since the last update when I take my phone out of standby mode after a certain amount of time, my phone stops connecting to Wi-Fi for some reason and when I try to access the Wi-Fi settings, the settings app will either stop working and freeze or I just get a black screen(with notification an home button bars still visible) and after half a minute or so resulting in the same message if I want to restart it or wait, this does not solve the problem.
When I restart my phone, it temporarily solves the problem. So I figured it could be a certain app or file malfunctioning. The bad side about resetting it is that my phone loses all downloaded music information from all songs on my sd-card which is pretty annoying since I got a lot of music (I got the information via the pre-installed Walkman/music app if that has to do with anything) that’s why I wondered if anyone maybe could point out what the problem causes and how I permanently solve it.
I hope I told everything so it is understandable since I’m not very good at English…
(my apologies for bad grammar and spelling mistakes,
I will upload the screenshots of the screen if needed)

My first suggestion is to boot on safe mode, if you don't experience the same problem while on safe mode then the problem it is a third party acting up, if it doesn't work then repair the phone with PCC
Bridge (for Mac)
