I have a Sony bravia tv and hta3000 sound bar. I’ve got it all connected properly and I’m utilising the TV as the centre speaker and it really works well and you can tell a difference.
My issue is that the speakers on the tv are making an odd noise, like a faint hissing or crickets type noise. Is this right? I have a small room and my sofa is only 2 metres from the TV so it can be quite obvious but I wonder if this is also the issue as I wouldn’t notice it if I was further away. Is this how the speakers work to give the impression of the sound coming from the screen?
The starting point for any query about a Sony Bravia TV must be the full model number.
Every Sony TV is a Bravia, so that doesn’t narrow it down much, and not all of them support Acoustic Centre Sync.
Also, we have to judge if you do indeed have it set up correctly; a high speed HDMI cable with Ethernet from the HDMI port on the TV to the HDMI Out/eARC In on the soundbar?

6 This feature works with compatible models. Please see https://www.sony.net/hav_faq Product availability varies by country or region.
7 Both HDMI cable and TV center speaker mode cable are required.
Feature enabled on both Soundbar and TV, unless it is automatic?
Also, do you hear only hissing, or hissing mixed with the centre signal, or what, and from how many places on the TV?
Is there any hissing from the soundbar?
