sony warranty or prime support outside UK

does anyone know if sony warranty for products purchased in UK work in Ireland?

i am planning to buy a projector in UK and get it shipped to northern ireland.

the retailer does not ship to ireland. so i can ship to friends house in belfast and collect it.

will the sony prime support work in ireland too?

i dont want to be stuck when i have an issue with projector 

any info please help.

Their friends house is in NI (ship to) because it is in the UK, they live in Ireland. 😉

This is a confusion we carefully avoid on the Now Community by talking about Eire or ROI. When Now was selling Now Sticks, UK and Eire models were not interchangeable.

Eire is in the EU, so I expect Community rules apply to warranties and the like.

But why can’t you buy the projector in Eire?
