SONY HT-RT3 5.1 stuck on "updt"

Switched on the HTRT3 this evening and a "updt" message is displayed and i can't select any menus but i can adjust sound volume. i've checked the sont site for any firmware updates but there are non available.

Anyone else having this issue? i googled and checked the manual for the problem but couldn't find anything about it!!

any help is appretiated.

Following the instructions provided in the guide page 27

While holding INPUT, touch VOL - and POWER button for 5 seconds, the soundbar will reset and stop showing the UPDT.
