Hello,
Yesterday I have bought new soundbar - Samsung HW-Q70R. To get the best of my setup I have connected it in order: Sony UBP-X800 (HDMI 1 Out) to Samsung Q70R Soundbar (HDMI In) then Q70R (HDMI Out) to Sony KD55XF9005 (HDMI 3/ARC In). All connections using high quality HDMI cables (Hi speed + Ethernet). When I turned all on picture started blinking so bad I even could not look at and change any settings in bluray player. I have connected it then straight to TV (HDMI 2 In) leaving soundbar connected to TV via HDMI 3/ARC and everything was OK. The reason I want bluray to be connected to soundbar first is that this is the only way to get Dolby Atmos sound. Any possible solutions?
Hi there,
Welcome to the Sony Community.
I'm looking into this and will update the thread when I have an answer for you.
In the meantime perhaps another member of the community may be able to help.
Best wishes,
Sean
Hi kolkakolonko,
Maybe you could try connecting the player to the sound bar using the HDMI Out (Audio only) and then use another HDMI cable to connect the player to the TV?
I found this illustrated on page 11 of the Manual (section B): https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/res/manuals/4687/46873101M.pdf
