Serious Function & Remote Lag but only when watching movies BDV-VN7200

My remote works fine but when I try to use it when playing movies blu ray / dvd or USB I get serious lag and more recently no response from remote and on board controls. Software is up to date. Can anyone help ? ...If I manage to pause movie the remote starts working again as normal ? Thanks

Actually just solved this problem. Changed the HDMI cable running from our Satellite box into the home cinema system. All is well but don't have a clue how this has fixed it
