RDR HXD 890 stuck in update again

Really glad I stumbled across this forum yesterday whilst trying to find out what was wrong with mine.
Managed to start it to watch pre recorded progs, but recorder is back to stuck on update again this morning and unable to turn on.

use the recorder power button trick to stop the update and to get into the menus again

this will happen repeatedly until a permanent fix is issued by sony

Rdr now OK. Have 2 (870 & 890) both now "epg ok" although epg colours on 890 are weird colours. Someone finally pulled their finger out - hopefully; time will tell.
