PS5 warranty

If I buy a Sony PS5 off eBay which has not been opened or registered, will it be the same as buying from a dealer? Nobody has PS5 s at the moment apart from the higher priced ones on ebay that have been bought by speculators. Would it matter when it comes to registration or warranty?

Registration, no difference

Warranty, depends if the scalper provides the original receipt.
