No picture on Compact AV System DAV-S800

I have a 10 year old home cinema system  (Compact AV System DAV-S800).

I now cannot receive the picture when I play DVDs although I can still receive the sound.

Can I add a blue ray player to the speakers and sub-woofer etc?

Or what is the solution?
