First sorry for my english. I try to explain my best
So I have Bravia 49x8505, old floorstanders SS-F6000P, old amplifier STR-DH800. Also Sony BD but not really using.
Now the problem is over about 2 years the volume is going down. All is connected with hdmi. My sat box too.
Before if I set satbox volume to 100% I could only set amplifier to about 35-40 as above that my windows was shaking :)) within time I had to put amplifier higher and higher. Now it's on 70 (75 is max) and it's just bit over everyday watching. I thought it's settings. But I have check everyhting , reset to fact settings. I changed my satbox too over time. Makes no difference. No matter if I play form satbox or bd player sound volume is low. I know these speaker been loud in past and was no chance to listen at 70 . I gave amplifier to check at sonny repair centre. They said it's fine.
Would someone have any idea? I do not want to buy new stuff if not necessary. I would say speakers are faulty, but is it posssible both at same time ? Can I fix them, or check them somehow if they lost power ? They have like resistors or something inside that can be changed?
Thanks for help everyone
Hi there,
Welcome to the Sony Community.
I would recommend getting in touch with Support for further advice on this here.
Thanks,
Sean Mc
ok. So I took your advice. Went Sony service with amp. Guy check and said cant see anything wrong. So I wait some time and gave my front speakers to check too. He said something wrong with bass. ok. bough new ones. came today. connected and boom .... same problem. brand new speakers low volume. can only hear over 55. crazy. reset everything. even try to cennect them to back sorround and same low volume. as they bi-amp , I try to connect this way but still same (or even more quiet). I bet it's amp faulty and they didn't check as they should. any other ideas what else can I do . I try to get calibration mic now. But I doubt it will fix low volume. And I have only 14 days to return speakers.
