Loss of sound

I have the sony soundbar ht-zf9. I have the new Amazon tv 4k firestick connected to HDMI 2 and only when watching Netflix do i lose the sound for a second or so approximately every 11 minutes. Anyone have any idea why this is happening???? I have turned the RF setting to off but not made any difference. Thanks

is the 4K Fire TV stick powered via Mains power or do you have it connected to another device.

Only thing which comes to mind is, that some device (either the connected device or another device) in the house draws more power for a moment every 11 minutes which causes the sound to drop out for a moment.

If I recall correctly, the Fire TV stick is powered via USB, so you could try to connect it to a power bank to see, if the suspected power drop affects the stick, or the soundbar.

I`ve established that it is the firestick that may have a firmeware issue. Amazon software engineers are looking into it.
