HT-XT3 HDMI ARC Problem

I cannot get any sound from the HT-XT3 when connecting to my Bravia KD-49X8005C TV using HDMI ARC. The only way I can get it to work is with the optical cable connection. What could be wrong?

Hi there

Assuming that you have connected it to the HDMI-ARC port on the TV, it could be the HDMI cable itself - so, if the below instructions dont work, try a new hdmi cable.

It could also be a HDMI handshake issue, because you plugged it in when the tv was on. Try this:

1. Turn TV completely off from the wall.
2. Unplug optical cable, and plug in the HDMI cable to the correct ports.
3. Turn TV on and test.
