Connecting Sony DAV-DZ330 to a Sony KDL-32BX300 and a Playstation 3

I bought the surround sound today and i am having some trouble connecting it to my ps3 and tv to give out the surround sound. i have my ps3 connected to the tv via hdmi cable then the ps3 connected to the surround sound via optical cable but its juts not giving out sound! please help me

Go to settings in TV and set TV speakers off--------manu-settings-sound-audio system

Have you connect DAV to TV over hdmi, do You...

Set HDMI as function in PS 3 in manu-settings-display settings-video output seyyings-chose HDMI

go to audio setings and from there chose optical under option
