Hi All,
I have purchased a KDL-32WD751 the TV refuses to recognise my dvd player.
I know there is nothing wrong with the leads (HDMI) as if I unplug my fire box and plug in the dvd player into the same socket HMDI 1 or 2 I can watch a dvd.
If I go to settings and sync, the dvd player is listed and I press enable as soon as the DVD player pops up.
But then it dissapears.
I guess someone is going to come back and say the dvd playeris too old.
How can I get over this other than try and find a scart lead and see if that works.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Hi @Brammers1 You haven't told us the model number of your DVD Player (so we can say it's too old )
Its a LG HDD DVD Recorder RHT497H
Old but not that old 🙂

Hi @Brammers1
I am unsure what you mean by "If I go to settings and sync, the dvd player is listed and I press enable as soon as the DVD player pops up". If you could expand that it may help. Setting on what, where etc.
Why don't simply select the HDMI input on the TV and play your DVDs. Note you will not be able to record from the TV as HDMI is copy protected. You will only be able to record using a scart lead.
I see the latest firmware for your DVD is 120326M from 2012. If it is not up to date you could try that. (You are on your own there or ask LG).
Hi,
I cannot select the hdmi input on the tv remote as there is not a button to do that.
Re sync menu
I press the home button and then go to the sub menu Bravia sync device list.
It then lists my amazon fire tv box and if I switch on the DVD player the player appears in the list I send an enable signal as soon as the player pops up in the list, but the player dissapears from the list.
I will check the firmware on the recorder, but I am sure this it the latest version.
