Can't even get a wired internet connection on my Blueray!! Please Help!

I've attached the LAN cable to the blueray and to the spare ethernet port on my bt homehub and followed the instructions in the manual but every time i get to the connect point it says failed! Please Help.

anything to do with routers - try a router restart (i.e. pull the power cable out, count to 10, put it back in). It doesn't solve everything, but you'd be surprised.

This is possibly down to the firewall settings on the homehub. Try turning it off and see if that works.
