Cable television to Hard drive recorder?

How can I setup my RDR-HXD890 hard drive recorder to record from my Virgin cable box?  Help please.

You have to link the Virgin and the Sony with a scart. Then choose line in (probably Line 1) on the recorder. You also have to check that the outgoing signal from the cable box and the incoming signal on the recorder are the same (RGB, CVBS,S-video) depending on what the cable box gives out. When you can see the picture coming trough the recorder start recording.
