XDR-DS12iP iPod Clock Radio

I was setting up my clock radio today and decided to put one of the adapters in for my iPod into the dock. I thought I had put the one that fitted the iPod but accidentially put the other one in. Are there any easy ways taking these adapters out? I'm finding it rather tricky and it just won't budge.

I did exactly the same. But if you look at the one you did not put in, you'll see there is a wide slot in it, at the back. So, if you put a finger nail in this slot, and lift upwards, it pops out.
