Xav-ax100 volume ***** unresponsive after Google Assistant

Recently when I use Google Assistant  the volume ***** becomes unresponsive after the command has been processed. I can get control of the volume back by playing a new audio source using the screen interface, but it's very annoying. Anyone else get this?

Have you updated to the latest firmware? It does mention changes to volume levels, you can find it here.
