Sony BDV-E4100

Not sure if anyone can help me to set up my system properly.  I have a BDV-E4100 Cinema System, A Sony Bravia TV and a Virgin Tivo box. I have connected it up as I think I should, with an HDMI ARC lead from 4100 to the ARC input on the TV, an HDMI lead from the Tivo box to the HDMI on the TV. It is fine when playing a DVD but on TV I just get the same sound from all the speakers with no separation. What am I doing wrong ?

Hi hobby750phil,

Well, it depends on the audio signal of the viewed content. If it doesn't contain any surround information then you won't have any separated signal.

Please also check that the digital out of your TV is not set to PCM and verify the sound mode that is selected on your BDV.
