I have an old Bravia TV. KDL-40S5100 I want to know if it is possible to connect a USB thumb drive to it to show a presentation, either a power point or a video? I don't think so but there is a port on the back of the tv and when I plug my usb drive in it, the thumb drive does light up. That's all, though. And, according to the manual, that port is for "service". I expect this tv is too old of a model to have this connectivity feature. I want to use the tv in an art gallery so visitors can view a video. I don't have the option of connecting to a pc in this gallery space. For example, is there an interface cable that I could connect to my usb drive that would have a connector that would fit one of the tv inputs? Any help on whether this is possible would be much appreciated.
Hi Trilmr20,
This TV has no USB connector that can be used to playback media files.
But maybe you can connect a device via HDMI (e.g. Notebook) to show your presentation.
Cheers
Peter
