Xperia E4g does not accept any SD cards

I have bought two different sd cards, to different brands. when i put them in the phone, they are recognised, but my phone rejects them after about 5 seconds and none of the data on the cards acctually shows on my phone. How do i fix this issue, it has been going on sinsce i got the phone and i cannot listen to music or look at any photots.

Does your SD card appear under storage in settings ?

It does for a few seconds then it disapears. I dont know how to fix it

Have you tried restarting the phone ? 

You can try to go to

settings > apps > all 

Look for both Media storage and external storage and press clear data
