Unable to update apps on camera as I need to update firmware, which I am unable to do so as there is nothing compatible with Mac OS Mojave (10.14) or Catalina (10.15)

There haven't been any recent updates for the camera in a while, so I think your best bet would be to find an older Mac or a relative or friend with w Windows PC/Laptop. Ideally, this is possible for you now, but I'd honestly recommend you stay safe for now and reach out when things are a little bit safer.

Your Reply is as expected from Sony. I've no doubt I will have a similar experience down the line with my RX100M5.
This type of situation is not restricted to Sony Cameras. Imagine buying a brand new product and Sony has no software to transfer files on a Mac. Best solution is to stay clear of SONY.

I'm not sure I agree with that sentiment myself as it's just how it is sometimes, especially in this day and age when you buy an electronic device from a power bank all the way to a full-on PC; they get old quick, but I understand where you're coming from. Stay safe!
