Doesn't focus really close?

Hi, 

What do I need to change so my Sony AX53 will focus quickly & sharp when I get really close to a flower? 

Any help appreciated.

Hi Neal

According to the FDR-AX53 Specifications:

MINIMUM FOCUS DISTANCE

approx.1cm(Wide), approx.80cm(Tele), approx.13/32inch(Wide), approx.31 1/2inch(Tele)

So I guess the answer is to zoom out as far as possible and you should be able to get as close as 1cm.

Thanks for the reply.

I already did that would manually focus be of any use at 1cm? 

It also takes quite a few seconds for it focus when panning round generally, Are there any setting such Iris or Exposure that will help with this?

Any help appreciated.
