Dear Community:
my sony KD-55XG8096 stopps after 5 min. of playing youtube videos and doesn´t show a picture.
when i put the cursor somewhere else at the playtime and the return to the old position,
it starts to play again with picture and repeats the same procedure after 5 min.
it sucks if you are making gym exercises and have to stop always. 🙂
thanx
daniel
Gelöst! Gehe zu Lösung.
The TV browser is not designed for video playback, that's why there are apps for each service.
If you want to watch a specific website, you'll need to use an external device (laptop, PC, Firestick, Chromecast, etc.) or use casting with the TV's Chromecast built-in feature.
Hope this helps!

Hello @edaniele,
can you switch on the advanced statistics for your YouTube app on the TV and check if there is anything suspicious showing in those stats (like bad buffer health or else)?
If the stats show no obvious issue, I recommend to factory reset your TV which should also resolve the issue with the app.

Also, before the factory reset, you can try some apps-specific steps.
Like clearing app cache/data for YouTube or clearing cache for the entire TV (under Device Preferences - Storage - Internal Shared Storage - Cached data), and you can also make sure the TV is up to date (v6.7140)
Hope this helps!

thanx for your help, but it didn´t work.
i think it´s because i gave you wrong informations:
it´s not youtube, but a video made with bigbluebutton played in the opera browser.
it loads 5 min. in advance and then stops.
thank you very much but, can you see my answer for IamNic?
regards
daniel
