Hi I have a Sony TV KD-43XE8396. 

When the tv is switched on, after the android power up sequence, how do I set  the first screen to either TV, or home screen or the TV guide?

Also which DVD do you recommend for this model- i’m looking for something ideally won’t need another remote!

Hi @Osneyrich 

It sounds like you are switching off at the mains. All modern TVs are designed to be left on in Standby when not in use. The amount of power used is around 50 pence a year! Also switching off and on at the mains is likely to shorten it’s life.

Any Sony DVD player would suit your needs depending on your budget.
