Sony remote

My Sony remote: 

RM-TX100D

has a fault. The 'guide' button doesn't bring up the television channels. I have seen plenty of replacements on line: ebay, etc, etc, but all the other buttons on the remote work. 
Would a replacement be any better?

i.e. would the 'Guide' button now function OK?

Hi @al3xandria, welcome to the Community.

There's probably no fault with your remote. Sometimes you can hit a button or combination of buttons and inadvertently disable the Guide button.

Often pressing the 'TV' button will both bring up a number of options, one of which is the Guide, and fix your Guide button too. 

Failing that, the only sure-fire solution is to reset the TV – power off, unplug it from the wall for 30 seconds, then reboot. 

Hopefully that will fix it; let me know which (if any) of the above works!
