Sony android TV

Hi having paid and rented a film on my ipad from itunes when i came to view it on my sony android tv the following message appeared,Cannot play film the connected display is not authorised to play Protected films. Can anyone explain the reason for this. many thanks for any reply that i may be able to understand,Alibaba92
