Sony A1 Bravia not connecting to iphone 8 plus via hotspot

Hi, i have just bought. New Sony A1 Tv and its having trouble connecting to my iphone 8 via hotspot.  The tv connects to an android phone just fine and also orher iphones.  Is there a setting i need to change on my phone? Or is there a specfic i should be trying to coonect via hotspot on the tv?

I've not heard of any similar problems.
