Hi,
I have a 100Mbps network connection from VirginMedia and the TV will connect at between 20-30Mbps at best. Same results wired or wireless, the router is in same location as TV. My phone and laptop connect to the same wireless network and consistently get 100Mbps connection... so why doesn't the TV?
Any ideas? Solutions?
Thanks.
Hi @matlumb
Sorry no solutions, but I have BT Broadband with a maximum speed of 74-75 mbps. Using the speed checker provided by Netflix on my KD-55XE9305, it is reporting 74.43 mbps. How are you checking the speed on your KD-55XE9305? Note, I’m on v6.6545.
Hi - was using the TV's browser and Google's speed checker. 20-30Mbps consistently. Just found the Netflix checker (thanks!) and that reports 74Mbps which is absolutely fine... but weird how they'd be so much out.
This is good though, as now I can go to Netflix and ask why I'm only getting a 2Mbps stream quality on a 73Mbps connection.
Thanks!

Hi @matlumb
Netflix, Settings -> Check your network. It’s the speed test I use on all my TV devices, TVs, SkyQ, Apple TV etc. In my case very accurate and consistent on everything.
I downloaded the fibre speedtest app today and only get 40Mbps on my XF
I did also experiment with a Usb3 gigabit Lan adaptor in the TVs USB port and that appeared to give a faster wired connection as it got my full VM connection speed at just under 200
