I have had the TV for about 6 months now - initially connected to Sonos sound bar without a problem. Then it stopped working without changing any settings - now just get distorted noise. Tried a different system (Ruark R7) and same issue, so it’s a TV issue and not the sound bar. Any ideas? Have checked all settings etc without success. Thanks.
Have you tried a different optical cable?
A crack in the fibre may have occurred
if it’s not a cracked cable, point your remote at the switched-on TV and hold the On/Standby button on the remote down for just over five seconds, until the TV soft reboots.
See if this is of any benefit or not.

Yea, I'd also recommend trying different cables.
Also check the sound output, maybe it's in the wrong output.
