KDL-65W855C stuck in reboot

Hi all

I have a Sony KDL-65W855C tv which is stuck in a constant reboot. 

The Sony logo is displayed followed by the dancing coloured dots.

The tv then switches off and continues with this loop.

Have tried the up arrow-power button factory reset, but no joy.

Any help will be gladly received!

Hi there

Can you please tell me what it was doing before this happened?  was it doing an update? Or...?

Last time this happened to someone, the TVs internal mainboard had to be replaced.

Try unplugging it from the power socket for 30 mins and see.

I can only guess it was doing an update and lost power. Perhaps a power cut.

No one is owning up to starting one, so I'm guessing.

Is it worth downloading the latest firmware onto a USB ?

Do you know how much a new main board would cost and where to get one ?

Can it be flashed ?

Hi there

Ive sent you a private message with some instructions - it may just work.  Once you have used the file as per instructions, try re-loading the firmware again via USB.

Sonys FW updates can take 30-60minutes, so patience is needed.

If that doesnt work, the simplest solution then, and assuming the TV is under warranty, is to contact the retailer you purchased it from and tell the the tv no longer work
