Hi,
all videos that are not in 16:9 format (such as videos where black bars are cropped), when playing via the TV (Kodi, VLC, Android video player), have motion judder like this on the left tv:

I think, problem is with Motionflow (interpolation) or with Android system that can’t switch to 24Hz. If I use an external player (Android box with Kodi and 24Hz output) connected via HDMI, all is ok and films playing smoothly without judder. On the Internet, many people mention this problem, so please do new firmware or something that will fix this. Thanks.
(I’m sorry for my english - Google translator )
Hi there,
Thank you for sharing.
I will pass this on for you.
Best wishes,

Known issue which won't get fixed. For some Sony TV models, Motionflow does not work for apps when video has black bars (e.g. Cinemascope), see this thread. The issue won't be fixed. Mods can pass it on as much as they want...
Hi,
I wonder if this happens on every piece of content that's not in 16:9 that you play? How many samples did you test?
It would be better of course if the TV's firmware is up to date.
Do you notice similar issues when streaming content that's not 16:9 on Youtube for example?
