KD-43X8309C to HT-SS100 Speakers

Hi

I just purchased a KD-43X8309C and have got it hooked up to my Sony HT-SS100 Speaker system.

This works for the Xbox and the Fire TV and Sky box's all provide 5.1 audio over the HDMI connection but the connection between the TV and the speakers is only 2.0.

I have tried this over both HDMI and using an optical cable, it just outputs in 2.0 mode. Checking the speakers I can see that it is highlighting all the speakers as in use when it shows on the TV but it only reports 2.0 and the audio is only stereo.

Any ideas on the settings on configuration that might work?
