I came searching online looking to resolve issue with Netflix app no longer indicating 5.1 on programmes. This led to me finding about if headphones are plugged in Netflix will not register 5.1
This is not the case the port is empty however I have on numerous occasions had an issue where the TV is showing headphone volume and not playing a sound this is not normally an issue as 90pc of the time a 5.1 system is used.
This has led me to now think that there may be a fault with the headphone port. I have tried inserting headphones in and they have worked but after removing its still showing headphones and does not switch back to TV speakers.
I have tried a factory reboot and this has not resolved the issue.
I have a 5 year guarantee so I will contacting to arrange a service visit.

did you at any time have bluetooth headphones or a bluetooth speaker connected?

Sorry for the delay. I have not received an alert with the response.
Issue is still present.
Today Sony approved service centre replaced main board and WiFi adaptor (seperate issue).
This has not fixed the issue
Yes at some point I have had Bluetooth headphones connected. But not for a while.
