Hi guys, i have i think whats known as DSE. it started off with 1 dark splodge, now theres 4 or 5 and it appears to be worsening as each day passes.
My tv is a KD-65X89K 65".
Sometimes depending what youre watching its very distracting and annoying and im just not enjoying watching it at all right now.
My extended 5 year warranty is in date until June 2027, im UK based.
questions - How on earth do i speak to Sony UK, ive tried online and just get a virtual chatbot that eventually says to contact a service center, but my Nearest one is in the North East, probably about 140 miles away and i do not have a car.
Is there a way to speak to Sony diectly and will my problem be covered by warranty does anybody know, ive no clue how to go about arranging repairs.pic1

RESULT!!!
Ok, so took a month, few headaches, finally i have a brand new tv, same model, was a new one not a refurb, delivered and installed by the engineers, extremely happy to be watching tv without big horrible patches distracting me.
Just to finalise this story, didnt need to register this TV Sony have already logged it to my account for me and my existing 2.5 years of remaining warranty has indeed been carried over onto this tv.
Couldnt really have asked for better, Despite the niggles and issues here and there people have with Sony i cant complain, they have seen me right and done it all within a month, to me thats good service i think so 5 Star for Sony today from me.
Great news, new TV, perfect, honouring your extended warranty, perfect.
Taking a month, less impressive but at least not months and months and months.
At least once they agreed to send out an engineer the process began to proceed
as you would want.
Enjoy your new TV, hopefully there is something worth watching.
