I'm still on the hunt for a new TV and have noticed that KD55X8509C has taken a hundred pound price drop in the last week.
I've read widly varying things about software problems with the Android part of the TV and I am pretty confused about what has been fixed and what hasn't. Does it still crash and reboot, or is it stable?
I'd be very greaful if someone could help me get up to speed, what kind of problems can I expect with this TV? The smart part of my previous bravia was rended alost usless 6 months after I bought it, so I am quite nervous about this.
Am I right in thinking it has been updated to support HDR? Does it HDR work over HDMI? Is it known if this tv has an 8 or a 10bit panel for viewing said HDR?

Sony is committed in fixing these issues. Many do not experience any issues at all. Some experience one or more of them.
