Channel 4

My soy Bravia tv has youview installed and the channel 4 app shown on the player guide plus also showing on home page, but it has now stopped loading. 
how do I fix it please

Always helpful if you tell us what model of Sony TV you have and what software it is running.

 

Have you tried restarting the TV, long press on the power button on the remote, then select restart.

Or have you tried a full power cycle. Switch off, unplug wait a couple of moments and then switch on,

if these don't resolve the issue try this next.

 

Go to Settings> Apps> See All Apps select the Channel 4 app.

If Open is available click on that and see if it opens the app.

If not click on Force Stop.

Now click on Open.

 

Have you checked to see if there is any new firmware for your TV.

If there is install it the process of installing may just refresh the TV and make the app work again.

Software version PKG6.7220.0365EUA
Have tried every thing you advised
App is not in app list and when I try to download load google play says it can no longer support channel 4.
When I press on the App on home page I get the ping but the screen freezes.
On the youview player list when the app is selected nothing happens.

Are you certain it doesn't appear in your TVs app list?

Channel 4 is definitely not on my app list and google player says it does not support it when I tried to find it on search.
