Im begining to wonder if your issues in regards to casting is also linked to your Wifi issues in your other thead (HERE).
I am going to pass both issues to Sony Support for them to investigate and ultimately resolve.
For me personally, I dont have issues in casting to my KD-55XD8577 TV connected via ethernet to a Asus DLS-AC68U router.
Anyhow, Sony should be in touch with you and please let us know how you get on.

Not a word from Sony, I have opened a ticket in Sweden, but no one seems to be interested in solving this.
Can't say that I am impressed...
