Apologises for asking the obvious. Have you tried a reboot (hold in the remote power button untill it reboots)?
And if that does not solve it, then having done a Factory Reset in the Settings menu is a sine qua non before posting again.
It may well still be the app itself, but Sony would ask you to do the Factory Reset first off, so best get it out of the way.
Reset the network settings. Clear app cache under setting > storage and reset > cache.
