Hello.
During CES I heard a news that Sony will bring Android 6 (Marshmallow) to the 2015 TV lineup.
General News about Marshmallow on Android TV's
These news are from January.
Had anyone heard something new about this?
That's right. I am just pushing it to all those review sites to tell the truth ^^ .
Already posted the new review here. Have fun reading.
@faheemrazzaq I had a slowdown over the first day and Amazon video struggled on the first day. After that everything stabilised and became very quick. It's possible that it has to store the memory of various functions in the first day and then once stored the improvement is seen.
@Garymjh thanks for this. I hope mine recovers from it too. The upgrade wasn't OTA. I had to use the usb.
Next issue... no Dolby 5.1 Passthrough on Google Play Movies anymore...
It's so annoying!!!!!

Hi KM
Can you create a new thread for this issue please, and any supporting information you have.
Thanks
After two days of using this update, I'm now experiencing severe lag. First notice this after using MXpro video player and now even as I've just turned on the TV, it lags right away. You have to wait about 5 minutes for it to respond to the remote control. And then a bit mire lagging. Also the fixed aspect ratio when watching videos from a usb drive still looks slightly stretched.
The lag may go away after a few days (mine did and is now fast as soon as the tv is turned on, a restart or two may help) The video app mess has been reported. Quite incredible that they took a year to try and solve a simple aspect ratio issue and then introduced another one. Especially as it used to work fine with no issues.

That is rather shocking. How Sony managed to overlook this?

Possibly because this is not the case? Working ok on my system connected to a VSX-1131 Pioneer.
Are trailers in DD for you? If yes, which?
I know that "The Revenant" trailer once played in DD for me. Not anymore though.
Probably only complete movies/shows are in DD again?
