Hello. I am an owner of Bravia KDL43W808c TV and HT-RT 4 soundbar connected via HDMI Arc. My problem is that I can't output sound in Dolby Digital or DTS (only PCM) when I am using installed apps like VLC or MXplayer for example. Passthrough is enabled, movies are in AC3 format. Any suggestion? Thank you.

Just found that if I use Chromecast to see a movie, the receiver indicator shows that is streaming in Dolby Digital. But what is happening with installed apps? Any suggestion? Plz help!

Hi ManosPer,

I believe that both VLC and MXplayer  are 3rd party applications installed from Google Play store and not part of the installed apps on the TV. So, in order to test this properly I'd suggest trying Netflix or Youtube instead.
