THE real ISSUE with AUTO ISO in slog PP modes after 3.0 update.

HI.

I have real issues that I pointed out previously with my sone alpha 7siii camera after the 3.0 firmware update.

In any PP that is based on slog, the auto iso feature starts at 640 and can't go lower. But the 640 is really behaving like 8000 ISO or close beeing clean bnoiseless at 1600 that behaves like 12800 ISO.

Also, the RAW output is stuck with minimum 640 ISO and is also behaving like 8000 ISO. 

This is clearly a big issue.

I tried everything. All the advices I got from experts on your team didn't work. Apparently, a small number of customers shoot slog in AUTO ISO mode or RAW with a7siii and that is a good reason for Sony not to try to fix this in any way. 

My only option would be to find a second hand not updated version of this camera so I can use all it's features, or buy other cameras that don;t have this problem.

Are any of you trying this out? Any of you having the same problem? Do you care?

Hi @ionbadescu, There's a new software Ver. 3.01 recently released, you can try to check if it helps with the issues you have.

Thank you. I did install it. The ISo works fine now. Still have to check about autofocus on some lenses but overall very happy with the fix.
