Please help! Sony 200-600 G OSS out of focus

I’m really struggling to get sharp images with my Sony 200-600 G OSS. I use the A7RV body. I think all settings are correct! It’s been updated too. Any tips or ideas how to get it tested in case it’s not a user error?

The old classic method is to point to a detailed wall with the camera on a tripod.

Be sure of the focus. Shoot with a timer or a remote commander.

Try at different apertures, lengths and distances.

If the wall is exactly parallel to the sensor plane all the frame should be in focus. In some lenses could be present a little focus plane distortion due to the lens effect, in that case you can move the focus point all around the frame to check resolution in all the frame.
