Alpha NEX-5H and PMB SW update

Few days ago I started my PMB SW and got a sugestion to update both NEX=5 firmware on 5.2 level and update PMB SW on level 5.3 (i have 5.2) installed. I tried to do it but PMB upgrade was not successful - no progress. I tried it on another machine with the same effect. BUT.. both computers were infected by malware! Has anybody same experience and/or recommendation where I could find appropriate and healthful SW and functional operating instruction? THX in advance for your help.

What country are you in?  Both the firmware and the PMB Update should be available on your support site.

You can download the NEX-5 Firmware Update Version 02 from the Sony Europe Site here: -

Follow the instructions carefully.  This update is important as it solves the annoying 'Battery Drain when Of'f' problem as well as adding 3D Panoramas.

But only an UPDATE is available - you must reinstall the original PMB from the discs you received with your NEX-5 camera.

New firmware is available from today:

Sony has released the firmware upgrades which were promised at  photokina for the NEX models NEX-5 and NEX-3, and the Alpha mount lens  adaptor LE-EA1. Please note: five hours after their press release  went live, the upgrade is still not showing up at the URL listed below.

Since the upgrade is firmware only, and has not yet gone live on the site as I write, I don't know if any further upgrades to PMB and other software are being released as well. The Alpha 33 and 55 are now on live sale throughout Europe and normally there is an update with every generation of cameras, so a new installer can be expected to appear on the update site soon.
