USB connection xperia 5

Whatever I am trying, itnis impossible to connect my xperia 5 to my Acer laptop viaba USB cable. Obviously I apply the correct steps but PC Companion  and PC Music Centre do not find my xperia 5. PC Music Centre by the way does not find my xperia ZX2 either while PC Companion does.

Try another usb cable, watch for a screen on your device that asks for permission too connect.

You did check settings I presume?
