Got the latest system update for my Xperia 5 yesterday, which took it up to Android 10.
Since I pretty much never use the stock launcher on any Android phone, I noticed rather quickly that the app switcher didn't work anymore.
It works fine when using the stock launcher (Xperia Home), but when using seemingly any other launcher, pressing the app switcher icon/soft button (square in the bottom right) just shows a "blank" screen. It switches the view to what I assume is the app switcher's view but nothing actually shows up in it.
Pressing the app switcher icon a few times consistently causes a pop-up to appear, stating "Xperia Home keeps stopping - (i) App info / (x) Close app".
Have made sure that there actually are other apps running, since when switching back to the Xperia Home launcher the app switcher starts working again and all running apps show up there as expected.
Have been able to reproduce this problem for all the following launchers:
Evie - version 2.14.8-9
GO Launcher Z - version 3.21
IOS Launcher - version 3.5.3
Microsoft Launcher - version 5.11.0.56299
Niagara Launcher - version 0.10.0
Nova Launcher - version 6.2.3
POCO Launcher - version 2.7.2.6
Smart Launcher - version 5.3 build 020
My phone
Model: J9210
Android version: 10
Build number: 55.1.A.0.748
Note: The third-party launcher must be set as the default launcher in the settings for this problem to appear.

Can you post video of it?
Sure. I'll get back to you on that.

I suppose you are using 3 button navigation (triangle, circle,
square). What if you use two button navigation (back and home) introduced with Android 9?
To show app switcher, you need to "swipe up". Does it still show blank home?
Just tried it. It does actually work correctly when using the two button navigation (swiping up to show app switcher). So the problem indeed seems to be related to the 3 button navigation (when pressing the square one).
