No your right, bit you can switch loops off in appearance menu. I quite like the loops rhough

As @eddy_hyde mentioned, you can turn off Xperia loops in Settings > Appearance > Xperia Loops.

I quite like the loops as well, but it's good that there is an option to turn it off if someone doesn't want it!
