New user, love the phone design and hardware quality but software has issues.
1. Support App is pointless none of the options allow for submitting feedback and the direct to the Sony website from it shows a broken web page. It can't be disabled.
2. The battery management app creates notifications on plug/unplug, this conflicts with Android's option to disable charge sounds. Due to this I've had to disable the App.
3. Almost every app, even the clock, needs Google Play Services. Disabling creates a ton of warnings some (like from the Phone App) can't be disabled. I have however managed to replace all of them with FDroid alternatives.
4. The screen wakes on plug/unplug. It's 2024 and still Sony haven't implemented this!
2 and 4 are important to me.
1. You can send the feedback using the 3 dots at the top right corner after opening the Support app.
2. Is this a pre-installed app?
3. If it's a pre-installed app you need the Google services to update it, other than that I guess you can control the notification from the settings of each app.
